Using Bunking

Bunking helps Bunkmates and Hosts discover each other and arrange shared living.

Adults 18 and over

You must be at least 18 years old to use Bunking, create an account, contact members or publish a listing. This applies to Bunkmates and Hosts. Do not create an account for someone under 18 to use.

Community guidelines

Be honest, respectful and considerate. Harassment, threats, hate speech, scams, impersonation, discriminatory listings and sharing private information without permission are not allowed. Respect other members’ boundaries, follow applicable laws and report concerning behaviour. Read our safety and community FAQ for practical guidance.

Your account and listings

Use an account you control. Share accurate information and only upload photos you have permission to use. Do not impersonate someone, post discriminatory restrictions, or include private contact details or health information in your public listing.

Connecting with others

Complete the questionnaire before messaging. Respect other members’ boundaries and use report or block if needed. Keep your exact address in the private address field; viewing confirmation controls when it is shared.

Current MVP services

Identity and background checks, payment processing, payout guarantees and video calls are coming soon. Bunking does not currently screen members, process rent or deposits, or provide a rental agreement. You are responsible for checking the home, discussing terms and making your own tenancy and payment arrangements.

Community choice

Communities are optional. A community label is not a certification or a restriction on who can apply. Home descriptions and house rules must follow the Fair Housing statement below.
